Welcome to the Coastguard Café
Perched high on the Firehills at the edge of Hastings Country Park, the Coastguard Café is an independent, locally owned café run by Stephen Baker—a long-time member of the local community and a keen supporter of Fairlights’ vibrant arts scene.
Established in 2021, the café was founded on Stephen’s belief in offering something simple and meaningful: great food, friendly service, and a space to relax and take in the stunning natural surroundings.
Everything we serve is made with care, using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, freshly prepared to bring out the best flavour. This is good food—not fast food.
We offer seating both indoors and outside, so you can enjoy our food and drinks whatever the weather. On a clear day, the views are truly spectacular—you can see across the English Channel, and if you’re lucky, even catch a glimpse of France.
